Game play:
- The first one to get a chinchón wins (combining all seven cards into a single straight of the same suit) or until all the other players reach 100 points or more.
- The game is played in rounds in which seven cards are dealt to each player. During the round, players take turns taking cards and trying to form combinations of cards of the same value or runs of the same suit.
- The round ends when a player "closes"; for this, the value of his uncombined cards must be less than 5.
- At the end of each round, players show their combinations in order and have the opportunity to put their uncombined cards into the other players' combinations.

Chinchón point counting:
- At the end of the round, each player is awarded as many points as he has uncombined cards.
- If a player closes with all of his seven cards combined, 10 points are subtracted from him.
- If the player who closes has all of his cards combined in a single straight of the same suit, he performs a "chinchón" and automatically wins the game.

Using the customization options, the player can modify certain rules of the game to adapt them to his taste or to the variant he usually plays. Among others:
- Use of wild cards: ace of gold, one or two extra wild cards
- Deck of 40 or 48 cards
- Split score: 50, 70, 100 or 200
- Closing options: Number of unmatched cards, maximum score,...
